As Principal Vehicle Charging Systems Engineer, you will lead charging feature development for next-gen battery-inverter tech within an automotive engineering team. You will translate stakeholder needs into hardware and software requirements and shape charging architectures for AC/DC and vehicle-to-grid use. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions and ensure compliance with standards. This role offers a hands-on chance to advance electric mobility technologies in a cutting-edge environment.

- Lead charging feature development using MBSE
- Decompose stakeholder requirements into technical specs for hardware/software
- Provide expertise in AC/DC charging and vehicle-to-grid
- Collaborate with systems, hardware, software and test engineers
- Contribute to system interfaces with hardware and software design
- Perform system and design-level FMEA (S-FMEA, D-FMEA)
- Build SysML models with Enterprise Architect
- Ensure compliance with EH&S, quality and engineering standards
- Degree-level qualification in engineering, mathematics, physics or another relevant technical discipline
- Significant experience in automotive, engineering or electrification systems engineering
- Technical experience in high-voltage charging systems and EV charging points
- Strong understanding of power electronics including DC-DC conversion
- Knowledge of AC/DC charging architectures and vehicle-to-grid technology
- Experience with MBSE modelling and translating models to hardware/software
- Proficiency with SysML and Enterprise Architect or similar toolchain
- Understanding of system-level FMEA, requirements analysis and cross-functional delivery
