Overview
In this role you lead engineering management for the Share Computing Environment at a UK site, enabling delivery within the Maritime Test Evaluation and Training Integrated Delivery Team. You will coach engineers, shape requirements with stakeholders, and drive coherent, life‑supportable engineering solutions. You provide technical assurance and oversee documentation, testing, and technical roadmaps. The role involves travel and is subject to DV clearance, contributing to national security initiatives.

- Oversee a multi-disciplinary technical team and mentor engineers to improve outputs
- Engage with internal and external customers to interpret requirements and shape solutions
- Collaborate with programme managers and business development to develop winning proposals and deliver coherent engineering solutions
- Provide technical leadership for programme delivery and oversee delivery of complex solutions
- Ensure technical assurance through adherence to standards and best practices
- Develop and maintain Design Certifications, Technical Delivery Plans, documentation, testing schedules, experimental plans, roadmaps, and technical reports/presentations
- Proven ability to establish high-performing multi-disciplinary teams
- Experience integrating new hardware and software into existing systems
- Solid understanding of end-to-end system architecture for communications systems
- Strong grasp of the systems engineering lifecycle
- Experience architecting and supporting on-premise virtualization solutions
- Delivery-focused IT infrastructure experience with broad concepts and principles
