Principal Technical Product Engineer

As a Principal Technical Product Engineer in the Cortex organization, you act as a senior technical leader and trusted customer advocate, shaping how complex challenges are solved across Cortex products. You translate customer needs into product direction, influence roadmaps, and mentor teams to raise technical standards. You will own cross-functional initiatives, advise executives, and help scale cloud-native and security operations platforms with cutting-edge technology.

• Set technical strategy and vision for cross-functional initiatives with PM, Engineering, Sales, and customers
• Serve as trusted technical advisor to executives on Cortex architecture, deployment, integrations, scalability, and security
• Influence product strategy by translating customer problems into requirements and prioritizing gaps based on impact
• Provide technical leadership across Cortex in XSIAM, XDR, XSOAR, Cortex Cloud/CNAPP, detection and response, AI Security, Agentic AI, MCP
• Drive cross-functional alignment to solve high-visibility challenges without formal authority
• Scale knowledge and enablement through reusable architectures, playbooks, and best practices
• Mentor and elevate technical professionals to raise the overall engineering bar
• Maintain market and competitive intelligence to inform leadership and Product Management

• Proven ability to inspire and influence teams and executives
• Deep cybersecurity and cloud technical expertise with directional thinking
• Experience leading cross-functional programs and managing multiple enterprise customers

• Background in security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR), XSIAM, XDR, or CNAPP
