Principal Test Development Engineer

In this role you will define and advance test approaches for hardware solutions within MBDA's Test Equipment Design Team. You will contribute across design, integration and validation, collaborating with cross-functional teams to steward test systems from concept through qualification. The position offers leadership on packages of work and a path to technical leadership in a defence-focused environment. You play a key part in delivering robust test capabilities that meet system requirements.

• Define and specify test approaches and identify process improvements
• Contribute to design reviews and address manufacturing queries
• Lead on packages of work, manage deliveries and assign work to senior design engineers
• Support the Test Equipment architecture and provide guidance to design teams
• Collaborate in an international setting to deliver test solutions and meet system requirements

• Proven hardware design experience for test system solutions
• Knowledge of test needs and techniques across product life cycle
• Experience of design proving and performance testing
• Experience of environmental and EMC testing during qualification
• Strong document writing skills for test equipment hardware design
• Experience managing packages of work (desirable)
