Principal Wireless Software Engineer

Lead complex wireless software escalations at Extreme Networks, applying embedded systems expertise and system-level debugging to global customer issues.

As a Principal Wireless Software Engineer, you will guide investigations across Development, QA, Product Management, and Support. The work spans embedded software, firmware, networking, wireless connectivity, and operating systems. You will drive issues from triage and reproduction through root-cause analysis, corrective action, validation, and customer resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead technical triage and prioritization of Global Technical Assistance Center issues
• Coordinate cross-functional teams through critical customer issue resolution
• Drive root-cause analysis across software, hardware, and networking systems
• Translate recurring escalations into product and supportability improvements
• Mentor engineers in advanced debugging and customer engagement

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related technical discipline
• 10+ years of software development experience and technical leadership
• Expertise in C/C++, Java, Python, embedded systems, and firmware
• Deep knowledge of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth/BLE, and networking protocols
• Strong global customer communication and stakeholder-management skills
