Private Equity Fund Accounting Manager

Private equity fund accounting expertise meets operational leadership at Apex Group, with the role based in Mississauga or Toronto’s downtown financial district. Use PE software, financial reporting, and client communication daily.

As Assistant Manager, you will perform and coordinate administrative and fund accounting duties for closed-end fund structures. The position covers procedures, workflows, workpapers, financial statements, capital calls, distributions, management fees, waterfalls, audits, and tax processes. You will also support junior staff training and key client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up operational procedures and accounting workflows
• Implement fund data using private equity software
• Review workpapers and financial statement preparation
• Prepare capital call and distribution notices
• Assist with audits, tax processes, and staff training

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Five-plus years of private equity fund accounting experience
• Experience with closed-end fund structures
• Ability to manage complex accounting structures and deadlines
• Allvue, Paxus, Geneva, Investran, or eFront experience advantageous
