Product Data Manager

In this role you lead the Product Data Management function to ensure accurate, compliant product data across the engineering and manufacturing lifecycle. You will govern BoM and Material Master data while partnering with Engineering, Manufacturing and IT to drive data quality and continuous improvement. You’ll oversee data governance, BoM integrity, and data readiness for program gates, enabling reliable product launches. This is a strategic, cross-functional role that shapes data-driven decisions in a fast-paced environment.

• Lead and develop the Product Data Management team to match business and program needs
• Define and enforce product data governance standards for EBOM/MBOM, MM, configuration logic, and data quality
• Oversee PDM operations: BOM creation, validation, simulation, release, and material master extension
• Coordinate engineering/manufacturing release activities with program timing and project gateways
• Serve as senior escalation point for BoM and product data issues across functions
• Represent PDM in programmes and governance forums, handling change control, launch readiness, and build meetings
• Collaborate with IT and Digital teams to optimize use of 3DX and SAP PLM, Material Master systems
• Drive continuous improvement through process simplification, automation, reporting, analytics, and adoption of Power BI, Power Apps, and AI tools

• Proven leadership in Product Data Management, PLM, engineering operations or related field
• Strong functional and technical knowledge of SAP PLM (EBOM, MBOM, MM); familiarity with 3DX beneficial
• Solid understanding of engineering release processes, workflow management, and variant configuration
• Experience defining and operating data governance frameworks and system-based rules
• Strong analytical skills to interpret, challenge, and improve data quality and processes
