Product Development Manager

In this role you drive the end-to-end product development effort across a cross-functional Product, UX and Technology landscape. You will lead and mentor a Product Development team across agile feature teams, turning strategy and customer insight into high-quality digital products. You bring clarity, set high definitions of ready and ensure dependencies, regulatory considerations, and technical constraints are addressed early. You will influence stakeholders and align delivery with broader programmes, shaping customer experiences in a regulated financial services context.

• Lead and coach a Product Development team across multiple agile feature teams
• Set and maintain high standards for product definition, requirements, acceptance criteria, refinement and Definition of Ready
• Clarify work upfront by identifying customer, business, technical, regulatory and operational factors
• Translate product strategy and customer needs into deliverable outcomes with Product Managers
• Collaborate with UX and Technology to align product decisions with APIs, architecture and constraints
• Facilitate constructive challenge and decision making across multidisciplinary teams
• Build relationships across Product Development and the wider business to influence stakeholders
• Communicate priorities, decisions and outcomes clearly across affected teams
• Coordinate with Project Management to align with broader programme plans and delivery commitments

• Significant experience in product development, product ownership, digital delivery or related discipline
• Experience leading or working across multiple agile feature teams
• Strong experience across Product, UX and Technology in a multidisciplinary digital environment
• Track record of defining, refining and delivering digital product requirements
• Experience coaching or leading Product Owners, Business Analysts or similar roles
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
• Ability to operate at strategic and detailed levels
• Collaborative leadership style with ability to challenge constructively in complex environments
• Experience delivering consumer-facing digital products; experience in financial services or regulated environments and working with APIs or complex tech ecosystems would be beneficial
