Overview

As Data Product Manager, you will shape the vision and roadmap for data products and the data platform, partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver reusable, trusted data capabilities. You will enable data-driven decision making to maximise impact for people living with cancer, while embedding data quality, privacy, governance and sustainability from the start. This role offers meaningful impact within Macmillan’s Technology Directorate.

Responsibilities
  • Define and own product visions and roadmaps for data products and platforms
  • Understand data user needs, prioritise backlogs and collaborate with data engineers, architects and analysts
  • Develop and deliver reusable data products and capabilities that drive decision making and personalised experiences
  • Champion a data product mindset with clear ownership, success metrics and lifecycle management
  • Ensure responsible data practices including quality, privacy, security, governance, retention and access
  • Work across Macmillan and with external partners to align on solutions and ensure sustainability
Key requirements
  • Experienced product manager with data products or data platforms
  • Curious, collaborative and able to unify stakeholders around solutions
  • Confident working with data and technology (data pipelines, modelling, APIs, integrations, metadata, lineage, access controls)
  • Strong data product thinker focused on reusable solutions rather than one-off requests
  • Evidence- and outcome-focused, able to prioritise value and investment decisions
  • Comfortable navigating complexity and working with multidisciplinary teams
  • Experienced in agile and lean delivery to maintain focus on value
  • Strong communicator and relationship builder across internal and external stakeholders
  • Knowledgeable about responsible data use including data quality, privacy, security, governance, retention and access
