Product Manager - Payments Platform

In this role you will lead the payments platform strategy across Kingfisher’s multi-brand landscape, delivering secure, scalable payments and robust fraud controls. You’ll partner with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Architecture, Data, Fraud, Security) to define the roadmap, govern platform use, and drive adoption across banners. The position sits in Group Product & Platform and focuses on shaping an enterprise-wide payments foundation and related governance. You will balance business value with compliance and risk, delivering the first implementation and scaling it enterprise-wide.

- Define and evolve a strategic, phased roadmap aligned with enterprise goals and fraud/risk priorities.
- Own and prioritise the payments platform roadmap to provide secure, seamless, scalable payment capabilities across all banners.
- Advocate for API-first design, modular architecture, and component reuse.
- Manage relationships with key technology vendors and drive platform adoption across Kingfisher banners.
- Establish platform governance to safeguard payments, ensure compliance, and embed fraud controls and detection.
- Line manage multiple Product Owners and cultivate product practices within platform teams.
- Collaborate with Architecture, Engineering, Fraud Operations, Risk, and Data Science to address emerging fraud vectors and regulatory requirements.
- Set guardrails and adoption criteria; monitor performance, costs, risks, and scalability.
- Experience in payments ecosystems (cards, A2A, digital wallets, PSPs, acquiring, settlement).
- Track record delivering platform products in complex, multi-brand or multi-market contexts.
- Ability to balance commercial outcomes with technical constraints and regulatory requirements.
- Strong stakeholder management across Engineering, Architecture, Data, Fraud, Security, and Compliance.
- Data-led decision making across performance, cost, and fraud metrics.
- Understanding of fraud prevention approaches (rules engines, tooling, machine learning signals).
