As Product Owner for the Electrical application, you partner with engineering, testers, developers, and management to evolve product capabilities. You translate electrical engineering requirements into clear user stories, support backlog prioritisation, and ensure high-quality outcomes for customers in industrial electrical design. You’ll engage with customer groups and stakeholders to validate requirements and contribute to the product vision through sprint ceremonies. - Produce detailed user stories capturing electrical engineering requirements for high-quality deliverables
- Manage and refine the product backlog to document and prioritise business and customer requirements
- Ensure user stories have enough detail for accurate estimation, development, and testing
- Engage with reference groups, customer workshops, and Voice of Customer discussions to gather/validate requirements
- Participate in sprint ceremonies to communicate status, demonstrate deliverables, and validate the product vision
- Degree-qualified or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- Proven experience in electrically intensive sectors (process plant, power, marine, oil & gas, etc.)
- Proven experience leading a team to deliver projects/programmes
- Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems (LV/MV/HV, control systems, instrumentation interfaces) in CAD workflows
- Experience producing/reviewing electrical design deliverables (SLD, schematics, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, layouts, panel/termination drawings)
- Knowledge of electrical standards/codes (IEC, BS, IEEE) and client specifications
- Curiosity to learn from customers, industry practice, and internal teams
- Clear and reliable communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to build trust and deliver standards-aligned outcomes
- Design lifecycle management, document control, revision management, handover requirements
- Electrical engineering expertise to deliver fit-for-purpose product capabilities
- Knowledge of ETAP or similar power system analysis tools
