Overview
In this role you will provide through-life support for complex defence systems within Thales' Service Operations, focusing on Crowsnest-related missions. You will work with engineering, programme stakeholders and customers to keep systems operational, secure and maintainable. The position offers scope to influence product improvements and serve as a technical authority across lab, network and field support. This is a hands-on, impact-driven opportunity in a demanding, security-sensitive environment.

- Act as a focal point for engineering and technical support queries on supported products and systems
- Provide technical guidance to engineering teams, programme teams, manufacturers, repair organisations and customers
- Support fault investigations, diagnostics, repairs and corrective actions
- Identify and implement design and supportability improvements across the product lifecycle
- Administer and maintain Battle Management Network (BMN) environments, security, updates and configuration control
- Maintain network integrity, access controls and accreditation requirements; support audits and corrective actions
- Maintain a safe, secure engineering laboratory environment and manage crypto related to Crowsnest lab
- Coordinate test rigs, lab infrastructure and shared resources; support procurement, calibration, maintenance and repair of equipment
- Provide customer-facing technical guidance and act as interface between engineering, support and customers
- Support risk, opportunity and obsolescence management; contribute to reliability and maintainability improvements
- Coach and share knowledge with colleagues and developing engineers
- Experience supporting complex electronic, networked or mission systems
- Strong hardware fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience administering and maintaining secure networked environments
- Knowledge of product support, service management and through-life support principles
- Experience working within engineering laboratories or test environments
- Understanding of configuration, asset and equipment management
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Willingness to work from Crawley office 3-4 days/week
- Security Clearance (SC) required; UK Eyes Only; must be obtained before employment
