Overview

In this role you will support the design-to-delivery lifecycle of electronic target systems, ensuring quality, testing, and servicing across customer sites. You will be part of the Production Team enabling reliable outputs for global clients, while identifying improvements to documentation and processes. The position combines hands-on fault finding, field servicing, and technical liaison with internal and external stakeholders. You will work in a defence-focused, high-standard environment with opportunities to travel and contribute to mission-critical demonstrations.

Responsibilities
  • Manufacture, inspect, and test products to meet timescales and specifications
  • Perform functional testing, fault finding, and calibration of electronic assemblies and ground support equipment
  • Carry out servicing and repair at customer sites, including independent field work
  • Act as technical point of contact for internal teams and customers
  • Interpret electrical schematics, BOMs, drawings, and test specs
  • Maintain accurate production, test, and calibration records
  • Suggest improvements to build, test, and inspection documentation with measurable benefits
  • Highlight opportunities to improve ATE and Cirris test systems to boost throughput, efficiency, and reliability
  • Assist in creating, reviewing, and maintaining Production SOPs and test procedures
Key requirements
  • Qualification in Electronics (BTEC, HNC, or City & Guilds)
  • Experience in electronic testing (RF testing, fault finding, calibration) and use of test equipment
  • Customer-facing support or onsite servicing experience
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation
  • Familiarity with IPC standards and electronic assembly inspection techniques
  • Understanding of electronic production and manufacturing processes
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
  • IT literate with Microsoft Office and electronic test/reporting systems
  • Understanding of electronic test methodologies and measurement techniques
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality and continuous improvement
  • Flexible and adaptable, with ability to travel (often on short notice)
  • Eligibility for SC clearance
