Productivity Data Engineer & Strategist

In this role you will shape data architecture and governance for enterprise productivity tools within Cisco IT, enabling scalable data platforms and AI-enabled analytics. You will work with cross-functional teams to translate data into actionable insights while ensuring security and compliance. The role centers on building robust data pipelines, governance frameworks, and semantic BI models to support organization-wide dashboards and trusted AI-assisted analytics. You’ll operate in a global, agile environment and influence data strategy at scale.

• Develop and implement data architecture to store, process, analyze, and visualize large datasets
• Establish and enforce data governance, quality standards, and privacy compliance
• Provide technical guidance on databases, data lakes, RBAC/ABAC, masking, key management, and PII classification
• Translate data into actionable insights using BI tools and dashboards (Tableau, Power BI)
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to address business problems with security/privacy considerations
• Design semantic models and certified datasets for reliable AI-assisted BI using tools like Power BI Copilot, Tableau Agent, Snowflake Cortex

• Enterprise data modeling experience (dimensional, relational, NoSQL)
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, dbt, and Snowflake
• Strong communication and strategic planning skills; self-motivated with execution focus
• Experience building and maintaining robust data pipelines and ensuring data quality
