Overview
In this role you will contribute to regulatory reporting for an Investment Banking client using Progress OpenEdge. You will join an exclusive team responsible for developing and supporting around 25 Securities systems, located in Wroclaw, with strong autonomy and continuous growth. You will tackle OpenEdge-related development and operational tasks, including automation, system administration, and performance monitoring. The role offers impact through maintaining critical systems and helping the firm meet regulatory requirements, with a focus on collaboration and professional growth.
Responsibilities- Develop and support Progress OpenEdge 4GL applications connected to ~25 Securities systems
- Automate tasks with Bash scripting and manage deployment workflows
- Perform system administration for Progress OpenEdge on Red Hat Linux
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance; handle IT networking and security considerations
- Collaborate cross-functionally to continuously improve automation and reliability
- Maintain version control and deployment processes using GitLab or equivalent tools
- 5+ years of professional experience
- Proven Progress 4GL OpenEdge development and administration experience
- Bash scripting for automation
- OpenEdge system administration tasks
- Experience with monitoring, troubleshooting, networking, and performance analysis
- Experience with Red Hat Linux
- Familiarity with shell commands, file manipulation, and process control
- Familiarity with GitLab or other version control and deployment tools
