Project Accountant Cloud Migration Testing

Lead cloud migration finance testing in Burnaby as a Project Accountant, using full cycle accounting and enterprise system testing expertise. This hybrid contract role supports Aston Carter’s large client.

The Project Accountant executes and coordinates Business Acceptance Testing, System Integration Testing, and regression testing. You will validate accounting, reporting, interfaces, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial outputs across interconnected platforms. During lower testing demand, you will perform regular full cycle accounting tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate finance-related Business Acceptance Testing activities
• Participate in integration and regression testing
• Validate end-to-end accounting and reporting processes
• Document defects, variances, retesting, and regression outcomes
• Support cutover, go-live readiness, and stabilization activities

Requirements:

• Two-plus years of full cycle accounting experience
• Three-plus years supporting enterprise system testing
• Experience with ERP, general ledger, Excel, and reporting tools
• Ability to validate results and coordinate retesting
• Guidewire or CPA experience is an asset
