Our client is expanding their Project Management team in response to increased service demand.

Duration: 18-24 months

Work Location: These opportunities will require five days per week in‑office at 222 Jarvis Street, Toronto, Ontario.

Project:

The organization is undertaking a significant modernization project, a business‑critical Human Capital Management (HCM) platform that supports the organization’s workforce, payroll, benefits, compensation, and employee information.

This is a large‑scale, multi‑phase transformation initiative focused on modernizing HR and payroll processes, expanding digital self‑service capabilities, and improving the overall employee and manager experience.

About the Project

The Digital Onboarding Project will enhance and modernize the existing Oracle PeopleSoft HCM environment and introduce new digital capabilities across key HR and payroll processes.

The initiative will include:

  • Digitizing critical HR and payroll processes that are currently manual or paper‑based, including employee onboarding, benefits enrollment, and life‑event management.
  • Expanding employee and manager self‑service capabilities to improve efficiency and reduce administrative effort.
  • Modernizing legacy PeopleSoft functionality by transitioning Classic+ pages to the Fluid interface.
  • Implementing technical upgrades to align the platform with current vendor‑supported capabilities.
  • Improving operational efficiency and enabling HR, payroll, and benefits teams to focus on higher‑value activities.
  • Supporting a structured approach to design, development, testing, deployment, change management, and post‑go‑live support.

This platform is a critical enterprise system supporting approximately 68,000 employees, making this an opportunity to contribute to a highly visible, business‑critical transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the functional deliverables with business partners, providing senior functional expertise, project leadership and coordination of activities in the functional design and delivery of the project.
  • Provides technical leadership for coordination of testing activities related to PeopleSoft PUM image upgrades, PeopleTools upgrade and enabling new features, including user interface changes
  • Provides functional advice to clients and team leveraging their PeopleSoft HCM functional knowledge to meet project goals and objectives, while ensuring efficiency.
  • Provides specialized PeopleSoft HCM Functional expertise in leading the analysis design, and configuration of the OPS enterprise HR/Payroll system (WIN), as well as technical expertise in leading the testing activities.
  • Suggest opportunities to improve design and configuration of PeopleSoft modules and suggest opportunities to improve testing quality or effort.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading functional teams to perform analysis, design, and confirmation for entire project lifecycle and experience leading multiple testing teams for entire project lifecycle for a large project, preparing testing strategy, planning and supporting for all testing cycles.
  • Significant knowledge of Human Resources and Payroll business functions and knowledge and experience of onboarding activities leveraging PeopleSoft HCM.
  • Ability to analyze, evaluate, and prioritize potential defects.
  • Experience supporting system integration testing, user acceptance testing, performance, penetration, and payroll testing
  • Experience with quality assurance principles, practices, tools and structure methodology, including defect tracking and handling.
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills; organizational, creativity, and perseverance skills, verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Similar knowledge and skill requirements as Project Manager regarding project management, issues/risk/conflict identification, escalation, and resolution.
  • Similar knowledge and skill requirement as Project Manager for participating in committees and forums, reporting, supporting change management and understanding AODA.
