An inpatient behavioral health facility in Bristol, Connecticut is seeking a Psychiatrist to provide coverage for a 15-bed senior behavioral health unit. This locum opportunity offers the chance to deliver comprehensive inpatient care for geriatric psychiatry patients in a collaborative hospital setting.

About the Opportunity:

  • Shift: Day shift
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday
  • Hours: 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
  • Setting: Inpatient Senior Behavioral Health Unit

Responsibilities:

  • Provide psychiatric evaluations and treatment for inpatient geriatric behavioral health patients.
  • Conduct daily rounds and manage medications.
  • Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team, including nursing, social work, therapy, and case management.
  • Support discharge planning and continuity of care.

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrist.
  • Experience treating geriatric psychiatric patients.
  • Current DEA registration.

Desired Skills:

  • Fellowship training in Geriatric Psychiatry.
  • Active Connecticut medical license.
