Inpatient Psychiatrist Opportunity Located in Zanesville, OH - Columbus 55m Full-time, permanent positionPosition Overview Full-time inpatient Psychiatry opportunity Adult inpatient Behavioral Health practice 7-on / 7-off block schedule Approximately 2 weeks of coverage per month Onsite coverage from 7:00 AM-7:00 PM during scheduled weeks Evening and overnight call required during coverage week Primary responsibility for inpatient psychiatric care, hospital consultations, and psychiatric admissions while on serviceQualifications MD or DO from an accredited medical school Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry Active Ohio medical license or ability to obtain DEA registration Experience managing adult inpatient psychiatric patients Consultation-Liaison and acute care Psychiatry experience preferredPractice Highlights Average inpatient census of 12-15 patients Average consult volume of 3-5 per day Adult inpatient Behavioral Health patient population Hospital-wide psychiatric consultation services Manage new psychiatric admissions during scheduled coverage Conduct psychiatric evaluations, admission assessments, treatment planning, and ongoing management Review admissions and enter admission orders Emergency Department psychiatric admission coverage Medical clearance evaluations as appropriate First-call responsibility during scheduled coverage week Overnight and after-hours inpatient Psychiatry coverage while on service Multidisciplinary collaboration with nursing, social work, therapy, and Hospitalist services Predictable block scheduling with manageable inpatient volumesCompensation & Benefits Compensation details not specified Benefits not specifiedLocation Zanesville, Ohio Approximately 55 miles east of Columbus Regional healthcare hub serving southeastern Ohio
