Psychiatry Physician

Locums Psychiatry coverage in Texas with a predictable Monday through Friday, 40 hour work week and no call. Adult male patient population with a mix of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities.

Practice Setting

• Clinic based role with a mix of inpatient and outpatient psychiatry.
• Adults only, male patients only, general population custody levels 1 and 2.
• Clinical work includes psychiatric, physical, and neurological examinations.
• Provides clinical supervision to psychiatric mid level practitioners as assigned by the clinical director.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday coverage, full time only, 40 hours per week.
• Shift times have some flexibility within the 40 hour work week.
• No call.
• Estimated start date is mid November 2026.

Cases and Procedures

• Direct psychiatric care for assigned patients.
• Participation in due process proceedings for voluntary admission and compelled psychoactive medication.
• Forensic experience is not required, but is a benefit.

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO.
• Board Certified in Psychiatry.
• Active Texas license required, will not wait for license.
• BLS and DEA required.
