Psychiatry Physician Assistant

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Location: Lake Charles, Louisiana •Full-time PMHNP opportunity in a Behavioral Health setting. •Provide psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment, medication management, counseling, and patient education. •Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans and coordinate care with psychiatrists, physicians, nurses, and other behavioral health professionals. •Order and interpret laboratory testing and refer patients for inpatient psychiatric care when appropriate. •Maintain accurate patient records and comply with applicable state/federal regulations and clinical standards. •Participate in quality improvement, staff meetings, and behavioral health initiatives. • Compensation: Depending on Experience (DOE) • Salary: Competitive and based on experience and qualificationsEducation/Requirements: oGraduate of an accredited nursing or nurse practitioner program. oCurrent Louisiana RN and APRN license in Mental Health/Psychiatry. oCurrent BLS certification; ACLS required. oCurrent Louisiana CDS and DEA licenses. oEMR and basic Microsoft Word/Excel proficiency. oStrong communication, critical-thinking, and teamwork skills. oSufficient clinical experience to perform the duties of the position is required
