Psychiatry Physician Assistant

APP Psychiatry Opening in St. Joseph, MO Kansas City 55mSeeking a PMHNP or Psych PA-C to focus on delivering high-quality behavioral health care to older adults without the administrative responsibility of private practice. This role offers clinical autonomy, flexible scheduling, and strong organizational support in post-acute and long-term care settings (SNF/LTC/ALF/IRF).Overview

• Full-time (3.5-5 days/week) within Monday - Friday
• Enjoy stability, support, and flexibility with onsite patient care and remote documentation
• No nights or weekends
• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and mental status examinations
• Diagnose and treat psychiatric, behavioral, and neurocognitive disorders in older adults
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
• Evaluate behavioral and safety concerns
• Provide brief interventions and behavioral management
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams across care settings
• Coverage area includes St. Joseph, Missouri, and surrounding areas

Requirements
• Active, unrestricted MO state license as a PMHNP-C or Psych PA-C
• Active DEA or willingness to obtain
• 1 year of experience needed as a PMHNP or Psych PA
• Experience with older adults or post-acute care preferred
• Local or Ties to the Area required
