Overview

As a PT Engineer you support manufacturing operations through process expertise, troubleshooting and continuous improvement. You will collaborate across Production, Quality, Technical, Planning, Engineering and HSE to deliver safe, efficient and high‑quality processes while enabling new products and technologies. You lead and participate in optimization projects, scale-up activities and method development to sustain operational excellence. This role offers hands-on impact in a safety‑conscious, cross‑functional environment at Lubrizol.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical process support and real-time troubleshooting for manufacturing operations
  • Monitor plant performance and identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and cost
  • Lead and support continuous improvement projects focused on process optimization and productivity
  • Coordinate scale-up and introduction of new products with cross-functional teams
  • Conduct raw material evaluations, laboratory trials, process assessments and investigations
  • Participate in hazard studies, MOC activities, root cause investigations and safety initiatives
  • Manage production batch documentation, process specifications and SAP transactions
  • Support development and improvement of analytical methods for manufacturing control
  • Champion safety, environmental stewardship and continuous improvement
  • Build cross-functional relationships to align project execution with operational priorities
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related science or engineering discipline
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and project management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for cross-functional collaboration
  • Excellent planning, organization and time management
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail with a structured, methodical approach
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general IT systems
