Public Cloud - Forward Deployed Engineer (VP)

As Forward Deployed Engineer at Citi, you help shape and execute the public cloud strategy within a high-impact enterprise. You will contribute hands-on to an integrated cloud product team focused on container fleet management for secure, scalable cloud adoption. You’ll work with cloud engineers and full-stack developers to deliver automation and value across Citi’s technology landscape. This role offers hands-on engineering at scale, from HPC and GenAI initiatives to payments solutions, in a collaborative, innovation-driven environment.

• Provide hands-on technical contributions within a cloud-focused product team
• Develop and deploy solutions advancing Citi's public cloud strategy
• Identify and implement automation to improve cloud service consumption
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align cloud initiatives with business goals
• Define and measure service availability and reliability within the product domain
• Contribute to engineering best practices and scalable architectures

• Hands-on enterprise-grade application development experience
• Proficiency in AWS and GCP
• Programming: Python, Java, Go
• Experience with AI/ML concepts (prompt engineering, LLMs, RAG, semantic search)
• BDD testing (Cucumber, JBehave, Pytest-BDD)
• CI/CD pipelines (Harness, Tekton, Jenkins)
• Knowledge of Kafka, MongoDB and SQL
• Familiarity with Domain Driven Design and Event Driven Architecture
