Locums Pulmonary Critical Care Northern Colorado (CO or IMLC) Why This Role

• CO or IMLC
• 30 shifts/month across the locums team
• 12-hour shift blocks
• Broad ICU + pulmonary scope
• Coverage across Level I, II, and III trauma settings
Assignment Details
• Start/end: January-April 2027
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts; maximum 7 consecutive days; rotation between locations allows for lighter days between shifts
• Coverage type: MCR 7a-7p and 7p-7a in-house; PVH and GH 7a-7p in-house with 7p-7a offsite pager call
• Setting: Inpatient Pulmonary Critical Care across Level I, II, and III Trauma Centers; 48 ICU beds at MCR
• Support: Other pulmonologists onsite at MCR and PVH; no pulmonologist onsite with locum at GH; group includes 20 pulmonologists and 10 APPs
• EMR: Epic
• Credentialing: 90-120 days
Clinical Details
• Required scope: Critical Care/Intensivist; inpatient Pulmonology preferred
• Required pulmonary procedures: Invasive and non-invasive ventilation management, bronchoscopy, BAL, chest tube insertion, central line insertion, arterial line insertion, thoracentesis, and therapeutic foreign body extraction
• Required critical care scope: Cardiac and respiratory arrest/failure, sepsis, metabolic disorders, renal failure, overdose/poisoning, and other medical ICU patients
• Surgical critical care includes pre- and post-operative general, vascular, orthopedic, neuro, and cardiovascular/thoracic patients
• Preferred procedures: PA catheter insertion, dialysis catheter placement, diagnostic/therapeutic taps, lumbar puncture, and paracentesis
• Recent Level I Trauma experience within the last 24 months required
Requirements
• BC in Pulmonology and Critical Care required
• License: active CO license or active IMLC with LOQ in hand
• ACLS, BLS, and active DEA required for credentialing
• Must perform all required procedures
• Recent Level I Trauma experience required
• Must provide specific Jan-Apr 2027 availability and number of shifts/month available
