Job Description

We are seeking a Python Automation Developer with approximately 5+ years of experience who brings a strong software development background along with practical systems administration and hardware knowledge.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on developer first. They must be able to independently write, troubleshoot, and maintain Python code used to automate infrastructure and system administration activities.

Experience coding and developing automation in Ansible is a major advantage. Deep Cisco expertise is not required. Candidates who have a strong automation foundation and can learn the Cisco environment will be considered.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and maintain Python-based automation solutionsWrite hands-on Python code to automate infrastructure and system administration tasksDevelop reusable scripts, tools, and automation frameworksAutomate manual processes across physical infrastructure and server environmentsWork with Ansible to build and maintain automation where applicableTroubleshoot automation, scripting, operating system, and infrastructure issuesWork with physical server hardware and understand basic infrastructure componentsSupport automation involving Dell and HP/HPE server environmentsCollaborate with infrastructure and operations teams to identify processes that can be automatedMaintain clean, scalable, and supportable automation codeMust-Have Qualifications5+ years of relevant development/automation experienceStrong hands-on Python development experienceAbility to write Python code independently, rather than only maintaining or modifying existing scriptsStrong background building automation solutionsPrevious systems administration / infrastructure experienceUnderstanding of physical server infrastructure and hardwareFamiliarity with Dell and/or HP/HPE serversUnderstanding of operating systems, servers, and general infrastructure conceptsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsStrong PlusHands-on Ansible developmentExperience actually writing Ansible playbooks and automation, not simply running existing playbooksInfrastructure automation experienceGit / source controlLinux or Windows systems administration experienceExposure to Cisco environments
