They need a true Systems & Software Engineer , someone who thinks in terms of computer architecture, data flow, runtime mechanics, and scalable design. Office-based during 3-month probation (Tower Bridge / St Katharine Docks) ➔ Flexible hybrid thereafter

Technical Landscape: Deep Python engineering alongside Rust, Go, or Core Java; systems architecture & computing fundamentals (memory, runtimes, OS); relational data modeling; modern frameworks ; LLM tool-calling (LangChain); and real-time streaming APIs.

What You Bring:

• 5+ Years Commercial Experience: Battle-tested background architecting, building, and maintaining high-throughput backend services.
• Under-the-Hood Computing Mindset: You understand how computers actually work, how Python was built, runtime execution, memory allocation, the GIL, concurrency, and I/O. A degree in Computing or Computer Science (or equivalent foundational depth) is strongly preferred.
• Relational Database Design: Extensive experience architecting and optimising relational databases (PostgreSQL schema design, query optimisation, indexing strategies, and data integrity).
• End-to-End Delivery: A proven track record of taking complex backend systems from concept to delivery .
• Curiosity for Applied AI: Hands-on exposure to or a strong technical interest in integrating LLM orchestration frameworks (e.g. LangChain, tool calling, structured outputs, agentic workflows).

As a Senior Engineer, you will:

• Take ownership of backend architecture, scaling data models, and system design using Python, Django, PostgreSQL, and modern systems tooling.
• Architect robust data ingestion pipelines that aggregate unstructured, multi-channel messaging into high-integrity data streams.
• Integrate LangChain and machine learning pipelines to detect market movements and deliver real-time buy/sell alerts to live traders.
• Champion engineering best practices, maintain system reliability, and help steer technical decisions as the platform expands into new asset classes.
