Python Developer – Azure DevOps

Contract | Inside IR35 | Day rate DOE | Hybrid / UK

Contract Python Developer needed to build software and own how it gets into production.

This is not a ticket-only engagement. You will work with delivery, product and stakeholders, explain trade-offs clearly, and keep work moving. If you prefer to sit in the backlog and only work Jira items, do not apply.

The work

• Develop and maintain Python services and tooling
• Own CI/CD in Azure DevOps — YAML pipelines, environments, approvals, releases
• Improve build, test and deploy practice, not just deliver features
• Work directly with non-technical colleagues and help unblock delivery
• Operate at pace in a busy environment with changing priorities

What you need

• Strong commercial Python experience
• Hands-on Azure DevOps: pipelines, repo strategy, artefacts, release process
• Solid CI/CD judgement — you have owned this, not just used someone else’s setup
• Clear communicator; comfortable in the room, not only on Slack
• Happy working inside IR35 via an approved umbrella / PAYE route
