Overview

In this fintech-focused role you will design, develop and deploy Python-based backend services that power payments and social finance products. You will work within a tight Agile team, using microservices and TDD/BDD to deliver scalable solutions on AWS/Linux with PostgreSQL. The position blends backend strength with frontend exposure and a culture that values deep technical work, learning, and hackathon-driven innovation. You will help shape a modern tech stack alongside a group of passionate engineers in London.

Responsibilities
  • design, develop and deploy Python-based backend services
  • work with PostgreSQL to model and query data efficiently
  • build and maintain microservices with an eye to avoiding API spaghetti
  • apply TDD/BDD to deliver high-quality, tested software
  • collaborate with cross-functional peers in an Agile environment
  • keep up with evolving technologies and DevOps practices
  • contribute to architecture decisions and problem solving
  • participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing
