Overview
In this role you will design and build scalable Python backend services for a fast-growing automotive financial services group. You will help translate complex business needs into robust architectures and collaborate with Product, Design and Sales to shape digital products. You will mentor engineers and drive technical leadership in a hybrid London setting. This is an opportunity to impact the vehicle marketplace platform and broader digital initiatives with hands-on, end-to-end delivery.

- Translate business needs into robust technical designs and architecture
- Evaluate and adopt tools; propose new ones
- Collaborate with Product, Design and Sales; share ideas via code/design reviews and pair programming
- Provide technical leadership and mentor developing engineers
- Expert Python with end-to-end production services
- Experience with FastAPI, Django and AWS
- Solid grasp of databases, OO design, data structures, distributed systems and SOLID principles
