Overview

In this role you will join the Trading team of a leading global hedge fund to extend infrastructure for automated trading of rates and FX. You will collaborate with research to architect, implement and analyze trading algorithms and help expand the firm’s software and research platform for new exchanges and products. You’ll balance pragmatic engineering with scalable systems, contributing to a high-performance environment and strong compensation. This is a chance to shape how the firm deploys new strategies at scale.

Responsibilities
  • Extend existing trading infrastructure to support new systematic strategies (rates and FX)
  • Collaborate with research to architect, implement and analyze automated trading algorithms
  • Build and engineer software infrastructure to support multiple business lines
  • Expand proprietary research platform to support new exchanges, products and functionality
  • Lead from high-level requirements to concrete engineering concepts
Key requirements
  • Expert in production-level Python with numpy, pandas, scipy, statsmodels
  • Experience designing with SQLAlchemy and SQL; proficient with Redis and Docker
  • Knowledge of fixed income terminology and construction
  • Experience with time-series data, time zones, data gaps, and derivatives series
  • Version control with git and deployment via GitLab
  • Experience with FIX is useful
