Python Engineer to support client in investment management industry

• 5+ years of hands-on Python development experience.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and software design principles.
• Experience developing and consuming REST APIs and backend services.
• Experience with Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django .
• Experience working with AWS services (S3, Lambda, API Gateway, ECS, or similar).
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
• Experience with Git, source control management, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.
• Experience writing unit tests and supporting application reliability.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work within Agile development teams.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with Docker and containerized applications.
• Exposure to Kubernetes and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience building microservices and event-driven applications.
• Knowledge of financial services or capital markets environments.
• Exposure to Murex or other enterprise financial platforms.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and automation tooling.
