Python Software Engineer III - Credit Technology

As a Software Engineer III in Credit Technology, you design and deliver secure, scalable software alongside an agile team to support the firm’s business objectives. You produce production-ready code, craft architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, and analyze large data sets to drive continuous improvement. You proactively identify hidden issues to improve coding hygiene and system architecture, contribute to engineering communities, and foster an inclusive, performant team culture. This role offers impact across multiple technical areas within a global financial services environment.
Responsibilities- Execute software solutions through design, development, and troubleshooting with an emphasis on innovative problem solving
- Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms in sync with systems
- Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure design constraints are met
- Analyze large, diverse data sets to visualize and report for continuous improvement of software
- Identify hidden data patterns to inform improvements in coding hygiene and architecture
- Contribute to software engineering communities and events exploring new technologies
- Contribute to a team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
- Proven experience in a software engineering role
- Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Proficient in coding in one or more languages
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with modern programming languages and database querying languages
- Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies including CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, AI/ML, mobile)
