Python Software Engineer - Reporting Technology

You will design, build, and maintain complex technology solutions that underpin regulatory and compliance functions, helping to identify, manage, and mitigate risks within a dynamic and constantly evolving environment. The position offers significant exposure to cross‑functional collaboration, working closely with technology, compliance, operations, and business stakeholders. To be successful, you will have 8+ years of software engineering experience, with strong expertise in Python development and a solid understanding of process automation technologies. Experience delivering scalable, high‑quality solutions within regulated environments would be highly advantageous.

What you'll be doing:

  • Design and develop regulatory reporting systems using Python and automation tooling
  • Assess risks and challenges within a changing regulatory environment
  • Develop and manage data quality and assurance utilising database tooling
  • Optimize and improve existing reporting platforms and systems
  • Provide technical support across the wider regulatory environment
  • Partner with IT and compliance stakeholders to ensure quality and requirements are met

Key Skills:

  • 8+ years software development experience, with a focus on Python
  • Experience with Process Automation (Ideal)
  • Experience with SQL and database tooling
  • Experience with derivative products across financial services
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an analytical approach
  • Knowledge of modern technologies, architecture and cloud services
  • Experience working with non-technical stakeholders
