QA Analyst (Manual Testing)

Schedule:Full-time, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

Salary:CAD $60,000–$75,000 per year, depending on experience

Work arrangement:In-office , five days per week. No remote or hybrid option is available.

About the role

We’re looking for a QA Analyst with at least two years of professional experience in manual software testing to help us deliver a reliable, easy-to-use learning platform.

You’ll test new features, investigate bugs, verify fixes, and strengthen our regression coverage. Working closely with developers, you’ll identify gaps before release and help reduce bugs reaching customers.

This role suits someone who is curious, methodical, and proactive - someone who looks beyond the expected user path, notices details that affect the user experience, and follows issues through to resolution.

What you’ll do

• Test complete user journeys, including course purchases, learner access, course progress, and completion certificates.
• Review requirements and acceptance criteria, identifying missing scenarios and clarifying expected behaviour.
• Create and maintain test cases and regression checklists covering normal use, edge cases, and failure conditions.
• Identify and document bugs with clear reproduction steps, expected and actual results, and screenshots or recordings.
• Work with developers to investigate issues, verify fixes, and check for related regressions.
• Reproduce customer-reported bugs and add regression coverage to help prevent repeat issues.
• Communicate testing progress and results, clearly flagging release blockers, untested areas, and remaining risks.
• Improve QA documentation, test coverage, and processes as the platform evolves.

What we’re looking for

• At leasttwo years of professional experience in manual software QA , including testing web applications.
• Strong attention to detail and an ability to test beyond the expected user path.
• Experience writing clear test cases and actionable bug reports.
• Experience using an issue-tracking tool such as Linear, Jira, or GitHub Issues.
• Ability to distinguish high-impact problems from minor issues and prioritize testing accordingly.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently, organize testing work, and follow up on unresolved issues.
• Availability to work in person at our Markham office, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM. This is a fully in-office position, with no remote or hybrid option.

Nice to have

• Experience testing e-commerce, subscription, or online learning platforms.
• Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman.
• Basic SQL skills for checking test data.
• Exposure to automated testing tools such as Playwright or Cypress.
