Senior QA Engineer - Birmingham

£55,000 depending on experience

Hybrid working - 2 days per week in Birmingham

Bonus up to 10%, 25 days holiday, up to 8% pension contribution

THE SENIOR QA ENGINEER ROLE

As a Senior QA Engineer, you'll own quality within your project team, this means taking on a hands-on role across test planning, automation, execution and continuous improvement.

You will be designing and maintaining automated test scripts, help develop the wider automation framework and integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines. As part of your role you will also cover areas including regression, performance, load and wider non-functional testing.

Alongside hands-on delivery, as a Senior you'll coach other QA Engineers and work closely with Developers to embed a quality-first approach throughout the software development lifecycle.

SENIOR QA ENGINEER - ESSENTIAL SKILLS

• Strong commercial experience in software testing and QA
• Excellent test automation experience
• Experience with tools such as Playwright, Selenium, JUnit or TestNG
• Automation scripting experience with JavaScript, Python or Java
• Strong knowledge of test planning, test case design and execution
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Strong debugging, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience coaching or mentoring other QA Engineers
