QA Engineer – Fintech, Selenium, Tester

Overview

In this role you will ensure high-quality fintech software by leading performance and load testing efforts within a product-focused team. You will partner with business analysts, developers, and the QA team to define testing strategies, drive automation, and own testing quality across releases. You’ll shape testing approaches, mentor peers, and ensure clear acceptance criteria and audit trails. The environment is fast-paced, open, and technology-driven, with a focus on scalable, reliable payments and FX solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute performance and load testing strategy for the product
  • Hands-on delivery of tests and guidance to other teams to adopt testing concepts
  • Investigate results and assist with troubleshooting
  • Own testing and quality within your team
  • Collaborate with QA, business analysts, and developers to understand requirements
  • Ensure clear acceptance criteria before work begins
  • Proactively identify issues and propose solutions
  • Coordinate regression testing for each release
  • Contribute to documentation
  • Enhance and support automation test suite and framework
  • Perform manual testing as required
  • Document test steps for auditing purposes
Key requirements
  • 4 years testing experience
  • 2 years in testing high-throughput systems for performance/load
  • Experience with test automation and types of tests
  • Agile/Scrum/Kanban/BDD/TDD in Web or API products
  • Hands-on with test automation tools (Cucumber, RSpec, Selenium, Watir)
  • Experience with JMeter, LoadRunner or similar
  • CI environment experience (Jenkins/Hudson)
  • Extend regression test coverage based on business risk
  • JIRA defect tracking and prioritization
  • Git source control
  • ISEB/ISTQB Foundation or higher
  • Computer Science degree or equivalent
  • Experience in Financial Services environment with high quality expectations
  • Proactive problem-solving
  • Strong collaboration across cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication and documentation
  • Ruby, Maven, HTML5 (Angular, Node in parts)
  • Cucumber, RSpec, Selenium, Watir
  • JMeter, LoadRunner
