QA Engineering Specialist

In this role, you lead product quality strategies for BT’s service offerings, shaping test plans and automation for mission-critical initiatives. You will drive end-to-end testing across complex programs, mentor QA engineers, and contribute to security-focused QA practices within a specialist team. The role combines hands-on testing with strategic leadership, operating onsite in London and supporting national infrastructure protection efforts.

• Lead and implement product quality strategies for BT services and products
• Design test strategies for business-critical initiatives and development
• Create test cases, manage diagnostics and data strategies across multiple workstreams
• Oversee full lifecycle integration testing for complex projects
• Contribute to design and development of test automation solutions
• Deliver advanced defect analysis and drive solutions with the QA team
• Mentor QA engineers and share best practices with the team

• Test Management experience
• Test Planning and strategy
• Manual and automated testing proficiency

• Functional and non-functional testing
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, XRAY
• Ansible coding experience
• Experience with automated test tools
• OSI layer awareness
• Experience on large-scale programmes
• DV Security Clearance required
• UK residence of 10+ years to obtain clearance
