Overview

In this role you lead on-site QA/QC for a major data centre project in London, ensuring high-quality MEP installation, testing, and handover. You will work closely with project and QA managers to drive quality across fast-paced delivery. The position focuses on inspections, test packs, non-conformance resolution, and documentation to support commissioning and client handover. This is a long-term, site-based opportunity with exposure to senior quality roles and mission-critical delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Own the on-site QA/QC function reporting to the Project Manager and QA Manager
  • Prepare, review, and coordinate test packs, inspection checklists, and redline mark-ups
  • Coordinate with mechanical and electrical Supervisors to ensure install quality
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits, raise and close non-conformances
  • Support commissioning teams with QA input and handover documentation
  • Manage quality KPIs, punch lists, and document control processes
  • Chair quality meetings with subcontractors and internal teams
  • Drive continuous improvement in workmanship, documentation standards, and compliance
  • Interface with client QA/QC representatives and support third-party inspections
Key requirements
  • Mechanical or Electrical background (trade, HNC/D, or degree)
  • 5–7 years’ QA/QC or Quality Lead experience in MEP or mission-critical environments
  • Strong knowledge of installation standards, inspection protocols, and handover requirements
  • Experience using QA systems and digital test packs (e.g. BIM 360, Zutec, Field View)
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable on fast-track delivery sites
  • Experience with ISO standards, commissioning interface, and quality assurance for Tier III/IV builds (a plus)
