Overview
As a Quality Assurance Engineer at Safran Nacelles’ Burnley site, you ensure on-time delivery of high-quality sheet metal products in compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal standards. You will drive prevention of customerEscapes, reduce concessions, and strengthen the Quality Management System through continuous improvement. You’ll work with a cross-functional team to solve problems and support new product introductions. This role offers a path to impact quality culture at a leading aerospace manufacturer and to grow your leadership in a global quality function.
Pay / Benefits- 37 hour week over 4.5 days with 1pm finish on Fridays

- Support the Sheet Metal Operations team to deliver conforming products on time
- Prevent customer escapes and reduce concessions through QMS improvements
- Lead quality improvement and problem solving initiatives
- Perform auditing and corrective action activities
- Contribute to New Product Introduction (NPI) and operational support
- Maintain compliance with customer, regulatory and internal quality standards
- Degree or HND in Engineering or equivalent professional experience
- APQP experience or strong oversight of a customer using APQP
- Proven Quality Assurance experience in technical/manufacturing environment
- Strong background in complex problem solving and project delivery
- Practical experience with PFMEA, SPC, 8D, Six Sigma, and other core quality tools
- Experience in Quality Planning for NPI
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Leadership behaviors and ability to communicate across levels
