Overview

In this role you will support, implement and continuously improve the station’s integrated management system to meet Nuclear Site License and Company Quality Policies. You will lead or participate in audits, analyze performance and drive corrective actions across the Station Management System. The role focuses on safeguarding quality, safety and regulatory compliance during normal operations and outages, with opportunities to influence best practice across the business unit. You will work in a collaborative, inclusive environment that values continuous improvement, with a clear impact on safe, reliable plant performance.

Responsibilities
  • Support and maintain a coherent, integrated management system for the station
  • Implement and manage the station management system manual
  • Plan, conduct and close-out station audits/outage surveillance programmes
  • Act as Lead Auditor or Auditor to verify license, regulatory and local requirements
  • Supervise trainee auditors and monitor corrective action closeouts
  • Support outage quality assurance to enable successful outages
  • Investigate significant events to challenge QA requirements and adjust audit programmes
  • Review Quality Plans and Technical Specifications with the Specifier
  • Provide QA expertise to process owners to ensure consistent quality practices
  • Coordinate lessons learnt reviews from Fleet audit findings and LRQA findings
  • Complete effectiveness reviews of audits, inspections, and surveillances
  • Identify and communicate opportunities for improvement at local and business level
  • Support external assessments and ensure staff understand expectations
Key requirements
  • HNC level qualification or equivalent
  • Lead auditor qualifications for ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 desirable
  • Experience auditing integrated management systems as a lead auditor
  • Ability to discuss audit scope, objectives and findings with auditees at all levels
  • Demonstrates independence of mind, impartiality and objectivity
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills at all levels
  • Sound understanding of an effective management system in a nuclear or technically oriented environment
