Role Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced QA Engineer to join a major civil engineering project in Retford .

This is a long-term freelance opportunity, with an initial contract of 18 months and potential for further work . The successful candidate will work as part of the project team on a large-scale construction site, supporting the delivery of works to the required quality standards and specifications.

The ideal candidate will have a strong civil engineering background and previous experience working in a QA/QC role on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.

Key Requirements:

• Previous experience as a QA Engineer within civil engineering

• Strong civil engineering / construction background

• Experience working on large-scale projects

• Knowledge of quality assurance and quality control procedures

• Experience with ITPs, inspections and quality documentation

• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications

• Strong attention to detail and communication skills

• Relevant site qualifications and CSCS as applicable

Responsibilities:

• Supporting the implementation of project quality procedures

• Carrying out inspections and quality checks

• Managing and maintaining quality documentation and records

• Working with Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)

• Ensuring works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and project requirements

• Identifying and reporting quality issues and supporting corrective actions

• Liaising with site management, engineers, subcontractors and project teams

• Supporting the overall delivery of quality standards across the project
