Overview

Join EDF UK's Sizewell B as a Quality Assurance Lead Auditor within the TSSD team. You will support and strengthen the station’s integrated management system to comply with the Nuclear Site Licence and company policies. You’ll audit, monitor, and drive continual improvement across the station, influencing safety, quality, and performance. This role offers meaningful impact through shaping audit programmes, guiding process owners, and ensuring robust QA across outages and operations.

Responsibilities
  • Establish, implement and maintain an integrated management system for the station
  • Manage the station management system manual and audit programme
  • Lead or conduct audits to verify compliance with licence, regulations and company standards
  • Oversee corrective actions and mentor trainee auditors
  • Support outage quality assurance to drive successful outage outcomes
  • Investigate significant events and integrate findings into effectiveness reviews
  • Review Quality Plans and technical specifications with the Specifier
  • Engage with suppliers on contractual quality requirements and expectations
  • Provide guidance to process owners to ensure consistent quality practices
  • Coordinate lessons learned from audits and external findings and track their implementation
  • Identify improvement opportunities at local and business levels and communicate impact
  • Support external assessments and ensure staff awareness of expectations
Key requirements
  • Relevant HNC level qualification (minimum)
  • Lead auditor qualifications for ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 desirable
  • Experience auditing integrated management systems as a lead auditor
  • Ability to discuss audit scope, objectives and findings with auditees at all levels
  • Demonstrates independence of mind, impartiality and objectivity
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills across all levels
  • Knowledge of effective management systems in nuclear or technically oriented industries
