Quality Assurance Engineer

An experienced Quality Assurance Engineer is required to join a major M&E infrastructure project in West London.

The successful candidate will work alongside the engineering and construction teams to ensure mechanical and electrical works are installed, inspected and documented in accordance with project specifications and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage quality assurance processes across M&E works.
• Carry out site inspections of mechanical and electrical installations.
• Prepare and maintain Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
• Maintain quality records, inspection reports and supporting documentation.
• Identify and record defects and non-conformances.
• Raise and manage NCRs through to close-out.
• Coordinate inspections with Construction Managers, Engineers and subcontractors.
• Review drawings, specifications and technical information.
• Monitor installation quality and workmanship.
• Support snagging, testing and commissioning activities.
• Assist with project handover and completion documentation.
• Participate in quality audits and ensure corrective actions are completed.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience as a Quality Engineer, QA Engineer or QA/QC Engineer within construction or M&E.
• Strong understanding of quality assurance and inspection processes.
• Experience producing and managing ITPs.
• Experience with NCR management and quality close-out.
• Good understanding of mechanical and electrical installations.
• Confident interpreting drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and record keeping.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Major infrastructure, rail, tunnelling or complex M&E project experience would be advantageous.
