Quality Assurance Engineer

Wipro is looking for a QA Engineer to work within a collaborative product engineering team. As a QA Engineer , you will define and deliver the quality strategy across the software development lifecycle while building reliable automated systems that continuously detect defects. You will work closely with software engineers, product specialists, and other stakeholders to strengthen product quality and support informed release decisions.

Your Responsibilities

As a QA Engineer, you will:

• Own the test strategy for a defined product area, covering automation, exploratory testing, and documented risk acceptance.
• Develop and maintain automated test suites integrated into continuous integration pipelines, prioritising stability and meaningful results.
• Conduct systematic negative and boundary testing across edge cases, malformed inputs, network conditions, and device configurations.
• Produce clear and reproducible defect reports supported by relevant evidence and diagnostic information.
• Provide objective release-readiness assessments , clearly communicating tested coverage, known gaps, and residual risks.

Mandatory Skills

You will have:

• Strong capability in both automated and exploratory testing, with a clear understanding of when to apply each approach.
• Hands-on knowledge of modern test automation frameworks and CI/CD integration.
• Proficiency in API and service-level testing using tools such as Postman, REST clients, or contract-testing solutions.
• Familiarity with defect management, test case tooling, and performance and load-testing principles.

Ideally, you will have:

• Exposure to testing AI or machine learning-driven functionality.
• Understanding of non-deterministic system outputs.
• Familiarity with evaluation datasets and regression detection.
• Experience improving automated test stability and signal quality.
• Knowledge of testing across varied network and device environments.
