In this role you join MBDA’s Bristol Software Quality Assurance team to enhance QA capabilities across missile programs. You’ll collaborate with the wider QA community to ensure high-quality software is delivered for complex weapon systems. You will apply software processes and standards, identify risks, and support continuous improvement through assessments and reporting. This position offers hybrid working, security requirements, and a clear path to impact within a mission-critical engineering environment. You will play a key part in shaping quality culture and governance within UK Engineering Directorate.

- Maintain software quality by applying procedures and guidelines
- Lead Project Quality Assessments, identify risks and critical issues, provide recommendations for monthly reports
- Collaborate with the wider QA community and MBDA engineering teams to improve quality
- Build strong cross-program relationships and influence change when needed
- Communicate clearly, both orally and in writing, and work effectively under pressure
- Work independently within a functional and integrated team
- Beneficially leverage auditing experience and knowledge of configuration management and documentation processes
- Experience in software development, full software life cycle, and quality assurance
- Knowledge of software processes, standards, and assurance requirements
- Auditing experience is advantageous
- Ability to build relationships across programmes and influence change
- Strong communication skills (oral and written) and resilience under pressure
- Engineering degree or equivalent experience (preferred)
- Experience or knowledge of configuration management and requirements management systems (beneficial)
- Security clearance requirement: British Citizen and BPSS checks after offer
