Quality Assurance Lead

A Taleo client is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Lead to provide leadership and oversight across testing activities for complex technology initiatives. The successful candidate will bring a strong background in quality assurance, test planning, and team leadership, with the ability to work closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, and project leadership to ensure solutions are delivered to a high standard of quality.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the overall QA and testing strategy across projects and initiatives
Develop and oversee test plans, test cases, test scripts, and testing schedules
Coordinate functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing
Provide guidance and mentorship to QA analysts and other testing resources
Review business and technical requirements to ensure appropriate test coverage
Lead defect management activities, including prioritization, tracking, escalation, and resolution
Work closely with developers, business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to identify and resolve quality issues
Support and coordinate UAT activities with business users
Monitor testing progress, risks, dependencies, and quality metrics, providing regular updates to project leadership
Establish and improve QA standards, processes, tools, and best practices
Identify opportunities for test automation and continuous improvement
Ensure testing documentation and evidence are complete, accurate, and maintained throughout the project lifecycle
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, software testing, or a related field
Demonstrated experience leading QA activities on complex technology projects
Strong experience developing test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test scripts
Experience leading and mentoring QA or testing resources
Strong understanding of software development and testing methodologies
Experience with functional, integration, regression, system, and user acceptance testing
Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar platforms
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and testing workstreams in a fast-paced project environment
