Quality Automation Engineer Toronto

Quality Automation Engineer at Manulife in Toronto, Ontario, combines Selenium automation with performance testing in a hybrid Insurance Technology environment.

This Quality Engineer supports the Promises Delivered Value Stream within Manulife’s Insurance Technology team. You will review requirements, create test plans, and apply UI, automated, behavior-driven, black-box, and white-box testing. The work includes legacy systems, emerging technologies, and AI-assisted quality practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate requirements and technical designs into timely quality feedback
• Create and execute automated regression and performance scripts
• Validate AI-assisted testing outputs for accuracy and compliance
• Investigate automation failures and communicate findings clearly
• Track quality metrics and prepare formal audit reports

Requirements:

• Three-plus years of software quality assurance experience
• Advanced experience developing and executing test automation
• Hands-on Selenium, Cucumber, Xray, and Jira experience
• Experience creating comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Knowledge of UI, behavior-driven, black-box, and white-box testing
