Overview

In this growth role you will build and improve components for live trading and research environments. You will help automate and harden processes and ensure robust data handling, monitoring, and issue resolution. You will share responsibility for the reliable operation of trading systems within a collaborative, pre-trade focused team in London. You’ll work across development areas to expand capabilities and support the team’s systematic equity trading mission. This is a chance to take ownership, solve real‑world problems, and grow with the program.

Responsibilities
  • Build components for live trading and research environments
  • Drive automation and robustness of processes
  • Develop robust data checking and handling procedures
  • Monitor and troubleshoot issues as they arise
  • Shared responsibility for timely and correct operation of trading systems
Key requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science or other STEM discipline
  • 2+ years commercial Python experience on Linux with data science libraries
  • Pragmatic balance between attention to detail and delivery
  • Ability to work with ambiguous requirements
  • Self-driven, owning problems while knowing when to seek advice
  • Knowledge of finance and trading systems a plus
  • Experience with a systems programming language (C++, Rust) a plus
  • Commercial use of cloud compute and containers a plus
  • Strong analytical skills and command of statistics a plus
  • Be in the office five days a week
