The role

This firm solves the hardest problems in quantitative finance. They apply scientific clarity to market complexity, building the platforms and tools that power high-impact research with machine learning and big data.

As a Quant Developer, you'll build the end-to-end toolkit that lets quantitative analysts turn ideas into tradable signals. This isn't just maintenance; you'll design and build robust, testable software for live trading systems, simulation frameworks, and research tooling. You'll own your work, sitting close to the quants, directly shaping what the firm can explore.

The work

  • Design and build robust, testable software for live trading systems and simulation frameworks.
  • Develop core modelling libraries and new research tooling, from concept to production.
  • Partner directly with quantitative analysts, translating complex hypotheses into production signals.
  • Take end-to-end ownership of critical systems, ensuring high performance and reliability.
  • Contribute to a seasoned engineering group, where your technical decisions materially shape research capabilities.

What You Bring

  • Commercial experience building production software, ideally in C# and/or Python.
  • Strong object-oriented engineering skills; a track record of shipping robust, tested systems.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical partners.
  • A genuine interest in applied problem-solving, particularly in quantitative finance.
